I have a Rhodie FAL that I am interested in having a sling for. What sling would be correct for FALs from that period?

It really depends on what you like and your appliction...

Some like a little bungee spring and single point connect. Others like traditional 2 point strap.

What's correct? Nothing - no sling.

Usually not installed ,along with carry handles broken off.

Main idea was that the FN wasn't supposed to be slung...it was supposed to be carried at the ready. Eliminate the sling, and you don't have to keep yelling at the 18 year olds when the sling the weapon. LOL.

I really like the M14 nylon sling, but you could also use an L1A1 sling, I think the Rhodies would use whatever they could get there mits on actually, if they even used a sling.

I use a leather Mas 49/56 sling on my DSA STG58.  Fits great....

I know, it's just that I'm going camping with the FAL in a month or two and it might be easier to sling than to walk around with, particularly in a state/nat'l park.

Ah, I thought you were asking what a period correct sling is.

If you want a good sling for the FAL, look at BFG two point medic models, if you want a very basic sling anything will do, but I kinda like Enfield SMLE or just the regular old FAL slings. M16 slings work too, pretty much anything does.
