Could someone tell me what is the max and suggested load for a canon of this size. Traded my local FFL a revolver for it. Came with like 60lbs of lead round balls. And a pound of powder and fuse. I’ll get more pics come Monday. Unless I go by office before then. Attached File Also came with all the bore cleaning tools. |

That’s mainly what I want to do. Just make noise. Assuming reenactor grade powder is good enough for that. The guy I traded with on it said something about making charges out of tin foil. For blank/big booms I make 3 oz charges with tinfoil. Pack into cannon, then lightly pack a paper towel wad. Run a thin rod into fuse hole and twist it around to rip open foil. Then let her rip. I just make big booms. Haven fired a lead ball yet but I have some made up. |
