TL;DR- Lee sending me a free brand new 8mm Decapper pin because I am an idiot. no hassle, no cost, no delay.
full story: I started resizing my 8mm Mauser brass only to find on the very first one that it had 2 primer holes instead of one Me=idiot.
So, after a quick e-mail to Lee customer service last night at about 10:30 PM, I had an e-mail in my inbox this morning at 7:49 asking for a quick photo of the broken decapper. Snapping a photo and replying, I now have a new 8x56 decapper pin at no cost or hassle to me by Lee. That's great service! |

Set up properly it should slip through the clamp nut and not break.
That said, there are times when tight is not tight enough for some crimped primers to pop. I have broke no less than 3 of them. I have had stripped clamp nuts also. A pic of broken pin and receipt and they always sent me a replacement free of charge no hassle any even say they are sorry. They have been very good to me when needing service. |

Just yesterday I was decapping .223 with head stamp "1K" and the pin hung up in the flash hole and actually pulled out of the rod - from google I found out that was a common problem with the "1K" brass. I'll try Lee for a warranty replacement (I have several spares I purchased initially - don't want to be down!). |
