I had a Ruger Yukon Magnum. Pretty much sucked. Higher noise than my 22LR lever with CB caps. ...had I known that.. |

The tube on my Umarex Origin does really good compared to my BSA Buccaneer but both are PCP air rifles. |

If you don’t want the expense of a PCP setup, try a .22 Diana Chaser. CO2 powered and whisper quiet with the 16” barrel + moderator. Good velocity from a CO2 cartridge, very accurate. Takes the Stormrider magazines or comes as a single shot. None of my springers or gas pistons are as quiet. Cheap, under $150. Some countries require the moderator be ‘permanently attached’ mine just screwed right on so could be used with rifle or pistol barrel. |

A great shooting setup in either pistol or rifle. That moderator really surprised me when I first installed the rifle barrel and shot it. I had to visually look through the barrel's bore thinking the pellet didn't come out. |

They are like $2k usd  While I agree the Name is not my first choice (Those silly Brits), They make excellent air guns. And I bought Mine (Concept XR lite) for around $1300. You need to shop around. a bit. I spent ALOT of time on the various ARFCOM websites for airguns and this one met all my criteria. Keep in mind, I did not jump into PCP's head first. I did a ton of research and picked the Benjamin Cayden as my first. That was under $500 and was a great first choice. Unlike most, I could have bought a $200Gamo from the local Scheels if all I was looking to do is pop a few Starlings and the occasional tin can. But I found out pretty quick that these higher end air guns can have phenomenal power and range and allow me to shoot indoors and out all year vs. all my powder burning guns, which seem to be on everybody's hit list and makes sourcing ammo and ammo components expensive and next to impossible. I've taken to this sport pretty hard, hard enough I'm saving for a "Buy once cry once" air compressor which will allow me to have Air independence, so the only thing I need to buy are pellets, which have not been hit like the powder burning market has. Luckily most guys think buying a $2k Air gun is crazy, So I finally stumbled on a hobby that I can rely on to be around for awhile and not price me out of it. Nothing like taking a nice quiet PCP into the woods for a day of hunting. Can't wait for Sept. |

Its the Concept XR in .22 I snagged mine from an air shop in Portugal before they were hard to get (Mundilars) They were great to deal with and had fast DHL/UPS shipping. The Brocock is my second PCP, the Benjamin Cayden was the first. That one was a Hand pump friendly PCP that was more of a traditional wooden stocked rifle with a side lever action. I was shooting them booth today and still love the Cayden. I know all the cool kids have the FX M3, but honestly It was a bit more then I wanted to spend The Cayden I got for under $500 and the XR set me back around $1300. I don't have any experience with the Air force or Escape models. I'm saving for a Alkin compressor so I'm not going to be buying another gun anytime soon. At some point I might pull the trigger on an M3 to see if there all that, but I gotta be honest. Both the Cayden and the Brocock are pretty amazing. The Brocock will be my in the woods Squirrel hunting rig this fall and I'm looking forward to that. |

Airforce Condor SS Probably going with this AF Condor tank combo in the link because of the tank and the price. The FX with moderator is quieter by far but I've been reading about adding a Donny FL. I like to tinker so why not. I'm glad the OP started this thread. LOL. Attached File |

My Dreamline Tactical in .22 and .25 is as loud as a .22 LR. even with the DonnyFL. My Akela with a BuckRail suppressor is like a spoon hitting a pot and my Walther Reign is obnoxiously loud! I have been using a Yong Heng compressor to fill my Air Venturi tank for two years with no problems. Keeping it cool helps! |

IMHO, my FX Dream-Tac Compact .22 cal with a DonnyFL Sumo moderator is nowhere near as loud as an unsuppressed 22LR. I'm shooting at Sub12 Ft/Lb power levels. (backyard friendly) Also using a Yong Heng compressor to fill my Omega 75 cu. ft. tank.
