I was shooting my FAL today and noticed at one point the inpact on the target had more of a hammer effect. It was a santa decoration, made out of some 1x4 wood panels. I walk away from the gun and as I go back I notice the flash hider is gone, and the threads are stripped off. I think the flash hider shot downrange with the bullet. I was using 180gr federal soft points. Has this ever happed before? |

THis was my first time to shoot the gun. All I know it is a Century Imbel inport, 2001 inside magwell. Its got the bipod, and has the shortest barrel length (stops about 2 inches in front of the bipod. I am sure the barrel is an illegal length now. I have the upper dissaembled but for the barrel and am going to fix it ASAP. I want to put a long barrel on it and bipod springs and detents are in sorry shape too so I guess its parts kit time. Anyone have a 18 plus inch barrel (bipod cuts) w/ parts kit with for sale? |
| Most of their parts are now machined in the US to higher standards than the foreign parts I typically find, at least they are new not used import. Also their barrels are made by Badger which will be better than any of the mil spec stuff out there. Other than that the fit and finish is better than anything I have seen. If I could build it myself I would, but I can't so DSA is who I recommend. |
