I've got a flash hider and a Cherry Bomb style brake - trying to decide where to put them.
(and I will not be able to get them to a range for a while, so I'm asking here) Will a short blackout or a middling Grendel have the heavier blast at the muzzle? I want to put the hider on the less violent one and the more enthusiastic one. |

9" BLK will get almost a full powder burn. 12.5" Grendel won't.

I was suspecting something like that.
Would Sub vs Sup make much of a difference in the blackout at that length? |

Grendel by a significant margin. I have an 8” Blackout and it’s far tamer than my 12.5 Grendel. That’s with regular ammo. Subs will make any even bigger difference

so the Grendel will get the brake, and the blackout a flash hider
... now I just have to wait till the suppressors are ready.
