Been going through and cataloging guns since my dad passed, so I thought I'd post up some pictures of my Enfield collection.

My first Enfield, a 1917 BSA No. 1 Mk III*.  It's by no means perfect, and has definitely BTDT.  I picked it up for $150, and was intrigued by these marks in the upper handguard

1942 Lithgow No. 1 Mk III*.  Stock isn't original, but everything else is original and non-import marked.

1943 Savage No. 4 Mk. 1*

1917 Eddystone P'14.

August 1918 production M1917.  Bolt is a WWII arsenal replacement, but otherwise this rifle is all original, with no parkerized/matte parts.

I see your BSA has the approved field handguard "leg" removal/repair. My '17 BSA has the same repair. There may be a FR (field repair) stamp on your buttstock like is on mine. On a '17 there should not be a ID disk as they quit using them by then.

Your '17 looks much like mine.

Is your BSA import marked? I know mine came form the local General Store back in the early 60s and it still has all it's orgional parts.

The BSA is import marked.  If I recall it's an old CAI import.
