Cool pics!

Please block their faces unless they are you!  Don't need any of the good guys getting hurt off duty (well, on duty either) you know what I mean...

Those are publicly released pictures.  For example picture #1 all ready been published on page 3 of Joe Poyer's M14 book, so a bit late for OPSEC concerns.  In addition they are over 10 years old.  Had been looking for this pictures in digital format for years, just found em last night.

Units that may have to pull off covert missions discourage operatives from having military style hair cuts.  I know it is just a movie, but remember the scene in Black Hawk Down where the Delta operator is tailing suspects in civies, he would stick out like a sore thumb if he had a high and tight.

Modified grooming standards, for those times when you don't want your soldiers/sailors/marines looking like soldiers/sailors/marines.
That, or he's deployed and the CO doesn't care if it gets a bit long, it's still off the ears isn't it?

That's right. You don't tell a SEAL to get a haircut.

Army Brass passed the word, A-teams in Afghanistan were order to cut their hair and beards.
Never mind blending into the populace and observing local customs.
It could just as easily happen to SEALs.
