| Those are publicly released pictures. For example picture #1 all ready been published on page 3 of Joe Poyer's M14 book, so a bit late for OPSEC concerns. In addition they are over 10 years old. Had been looking for this pictures in digital format for years, just found em last night. |
Units that may have to pull off covert missions discourage operatives from having military style hair cuts. I know it is just a movie, but remember the scene in Black Hawk Down where the Delta operator is tailing suspects in civies, he would stick out like a sore thumb if he had a high and tight. |
if the pics are over 10 years old then they must be preban m14's just kiding guys ! with all the m14's going back into service it makes me think they didnt think the m16 would do the job in the first place or in the rigth place ! they sure seem to have a lot of them m14's left over eh ? it a good thing ! what about the homade grip ! |
Modified grooming standards, for those times when you don't want your soldiers/sailors/marines looking like soldiers/sailors/marines. That, or he's deployed and the CO doesn't care if it gets a bit long, it's still off the ears isn't it? |
