Is there any tricks to sorting out buckets and buckets of mixed brass?  It has .380, 9, 40, 45, .357sig, rifle, shotgun... everything.

Do those shell sorter thingies work, like this? amazon link

I know theres more exotic and expensive solutions, like the roller bar machines, but aint nobody got time fo that!

If you shoot a ton I'd say its worth it. I use a 5 gal bucket about twice a year and can't really find the need to buy those. You still have to sort even after using them, based on reviews, so it seems redundant.

Plus I like hand sorting because I can manually remove all the 22 cases. Just my opinion... Every time I have them in my shopping cart I end up replacing them with bullets. But I'm broke. If you have plenty of money, why not. If you think about how valuable your time is it may be worth the investment?

They work good for bulk sorting.
Yes you still have to hand sort after using them, but it's easier if you're sorting 1-2 like sized calibers, vs 4-5+.
IMHO if you're sorting public range brass buckets (as they were used where I worked) it's probably worth it, especially if you're doing it often and don't want to invest in a machine.
The few times I did it when the range was slow, I could get thousands of cases sorted pretty damn quick.
better price  More worth it.

If you shoot a lot of pistol or get range brass then these are well worth it in my experience! Get the 380 plate too because those buggers will invariably slip into your bucket. Rifle-only or low volume reloaders may get less value, so think about that.

I thought $38 was bad when I got mine.
