I called the NFA branch today to make sure they received my Form 4, and they informed me that my Sparrow was approved on 4/22, which happens to be, well, today.  Maybe I should have bought a lottery ticket on my way home?  I mailed my Form 4 on 2/25.

I'm going to be using this on my Sig Mosquito (threaded barrel), and was wondering what type of thread adapter I need.

I didn't expect approval so soon, so I didn't think about the threads.  I was actually calling to check up on the status of my C&R FFL application, and thought I'd check on the Form 4 while I was at it.

.476" thread length is the proper size for the oring engagement, but the end of the thread is removed. See the adapter pics on Silencer Co site, they also make an adapter for the Mosquito

.400" thread will work just fine but will not engage the oring. Tac Sol barrels are .400" and work just fine so I've read.   AR15 barrels are .600"ish and need a .20" spacer.

Order the adapter from Silencerco.  I got another one locally because I was impatient and the Silencerco adapter I got a week or so later is much better.  It engages the o-ring and is higher quality.

So when they say the Sparrow has two different threading options, they're really just talking about external thread mounts, and don't mean that they're selling two different types of SS Sparrows, right?

The Silencerco website is showing the Mosquito adapter to be out of stock right now.

Just so I have it clear in my head:
If your threads are too long, you'll tear into the o-ring fillet that's milled into the silencer before the can seats all the way, right?
And the o-ring option is merely to keep the threads from locking up due to fouling, right?

The o-ring is also meant to lessen the chance of your can loosening up while firing.

Sent you a pm on where you might be able to find one.
