So about a month ago I fired about 5 rounds through a ps90/sparrow combo and those are the only rounds ever through this sparrow.
Today was the first time Ive disassembled the sparrow since that day and to my surprise I had a baffle strike, minor but a baffle strike nonetheless. It peeled a small amount of material back on the very last baffle, left some copper fragments inside, and Im just trying to figure out why. The firearm is a SBR'd Ps90 done by Tros. Im guessing my problem is that I screwed the sparrow directly onto his 1/2x28 threads and didnt get an adapter for the Sparrow's own threads? |

It's been awhile since I've looked at the TROS PS90 adapter threads, but if they are longer than 0.438", then you probably ran it into the o-ring on the Sparrow which may have caused misalignment and your baffle strike. Thats unfortunately what I realized, after the fact. Well that sucks because the extra length of a 1/2x28-1/2x28 adapter doesnt sound very appealing. I would upload a few pictures but its been awhile since Ive been on my photobucket account. If it would be a bad baffle strike will Silencerco fix it? |

TROS also makes a Silencerco o-ring engagement adapter - I believe BigWaylon has one. Will Silencerco fix it? I believe their policy is that they warranty stupid once ... So if it's bad enough, send it in. Otherwise wait until you have a more major "stupid". Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

TROS makes both...he sent me the wrong one and I snagged a pic after the correct one arrived before I sent the wrong one back. http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx151/thegreghorton/Mobile%20Uploads/1E51A9BF-9828-4CBB-BAEA-5E19BE2FFBD1_zps9p4zy3ps.jpg Quoted:

Or are the threads to short for use on the 5.56 can? |

Yes. Yes you can. The can might be difficult to install on a true 5.56 after you use it, though, as the threads will have some carbon on them. Quoted:
