| Do I need to use a small base sizing die for my Garand? I do use small base dies for my military .308's and .223's. |
No..... Not unless you are having chambering issues with YOUR particular M1. Best, Swampy Garands forever __________________ 2007 NRA Missouri State 600 yard Service Rifle Champion. I use FL Dillon dies for .223 and .308 for my M1A and Bushy - no problems at all. You may want to consder a case gage. Case Gage |
| You probably don't have to be it wouldn't be the worst thing to have. It would take one less variable out of a possible slam fire or out of battery discharge. None of the M1's I have need small base but my OOW M1918A3 BAR only take small base resized brass. You will have to trim your brass more often however with small base dies. |
