I bought my Spec Ops THE Pack a couple of years ago. I like it a lot but the  only thing it miss is a frame. too bat that Spec Ops doesn't sell a frame

would an Eagle frame fit my pack?

Actually... they have been working on one. I have a Prototype frame for mine that I bought from a guy on another board and they sent him the prototype. I traded him for another pack and got the pack with the frame. You might want to contact them and see where there at......

Just in case you can't get one I'll answer your original thought. No, the Eagle pack is bigger than a THE pack, so the frame won't fit.  The THE pack is smaller than any of the typical 3 day packs.

If you can't find a frame or are too cheap to buy one you can do what I did...I took one of those plastic "Vote for XXX" signs (the ones on the side of the side of the road...since we all take teh metal stand for target holder, you may as well use teh sign for something as well) and made my own.  It is very light weight and stands the pack up nicely.

just go down to a decent car stereo shop and ask for a sheet of plastic.

cut it to shape, maybe add some lightening holes and rock-on.
