Thanks so much, that was super easy, and the reduced power spring is way better. This gin is actually surprisingly simple. |

My factory stock came today. No pics yet. Previously I had the Kriss Vector 1913 folding stock which I replaced with a Magpul UCS. The UCS was a lot more solid than the Vector stock. The Kuna stock is ergonomically better for the gun. The dropped cheek weld makes the sights usable when they are flipped down. The UCS would only let you use them flipped up, there was no way to get your head low enough otherwise. All the controls are accessible and it doesn't fold close enough to the receiver to hit the bolt release. It's lighter weight without feeling cheap and locks up very solid when open. ![]() I'm sure HS-P produces this themselves, but it very much reminds me of the AC-Unity HK folding stocks in construction. All told, it's "correct" (OEM and ergonomically!) for the gun so I'll probably leave it mounted as the final stock. With the latching solved (derp) there's absolutely nothing wrong anymore! The UCS will probably grow into a brand new gun if I'm not careful. ETA - I need to find the lower-height mount for my red dot now. I had a high-mount (which is probably pictured in the thread somewhere) to make it work with the Magpul stock but now I wish it was a little lower. |

My biggest complaint is when folded, there's no spring tension or anything to keep the stock folded. If you bounce around with it, it'll flop open. The UCS did have some spring tension that held it folded pretty nicely. I'm sure HS-P produces this themselves, but it very much reminds me of the AC-Unity HK folding stocks in construction. All told, it's "correct" for the gun so I'll probably leave it mounted. I just wish it had some spring tension in the folding mechanism. The Kuna factory stock is designed to lock onto the magwell when folded. There is a small latch sticking out of the right side rear of the stock that locks under the magwell lip. Note that this only works with the stock fully collapsed or pulled out to the first position. The other two positions won’t lock because the of downward angle of the stock, plus when fully extended the latch is past the magwell. The first position is probably the best as with the fully collapsed position you have to push the stock down a little to get the latch under the magwell lip. |

It's like the UMP stock in that regard. Thanks. |

Midwest Industries and HB Industries are both working on Kuna rails. Hopefully they each get something good cooked up and bring them to market! Also, Springfield Armory has 10 and 20 round Kuna mags available for their "international rifle" and " international pistol" respectively. We need to put some pressure on them to bring those mags to the US market! I tried in the SA industry forum but they've not replied. |

I'll use that to post in their industry forum to add my request. Thanks. |

I just ordered a Kuna today. I’d like to SBR it but have a question. This will be my first one. Please help. Would my name and address actually have to be engraved into the receiver to do it? I’m asking because some people say yes and some say no. What stock would you recommend? Thanks for everything, Terry |

Thanks for everything, Terry I went with the HBI Magpul UCS stock. Just waiting on my form 1 approval to install it |

Use a micrometer to mic the rail slots and compare those measurements to another flat top upper. Just a few thoughts I can come up with. For whatever reason it's going backwards instead of forwards as physics would suggest. I don't have a good way to tell if it's actually moving both ways. It appears to only want to move backwards. I think I'm going to add a Unity riser and see what happens. Ideally, it'll fit that rail better and the issue will be resolved. The optic is a smidge too low for passive aiming under NODs anyway. Workable, but I'd prefer higher. If the optic slides on the Unity rail I'll send it back to EOTech. If the Unity riser slides on the Kuna, I'll get ahold of Springfield. |

Springfield is now carrying HBI parts: Link Seems every thing but barrels. But do have barrel removal tools - Wonder if this means conversion kits/barrel options are in the works? ETA: this likely means a good price on some this when they run the 20% off sales |

I'm excited to see what the HB Industries and Midwest Industries extended handguards look like. I've held off on the Haga in anticipation of the aluminum options. MI should be pretty close to release. HBI sounds like they're going to be a little bit longer. |

Maybe not if you want an ultra compact pcc, I don't really need an ultra compact one. The only thing about either the 309 or my wolfman, is they are thick, they don't touch the handguard, but there isn't a lot of space so I'd be concerned about heat. Thats why my obsidian is on the Kuna for now, just wanted to see how the 309 looks. |

True. MI designed theirs to accommodate suppressors up to 1.6 inches in diameter and still allow full use of the MLOK slots. That still rules out some of the larger cans but allows quite a few. Unsure about the details of the HBI rail. I'm going to try out the BOE IncoLite 9 on mine. Basically the same length as the Obsidian 9 in short configuration but lighter, bigger diameter (1.5), and better suppression. Gotta see how my local FFL is going to proceed with the transfer. It should arrive there today. |

| Trying to decide if I should be pissed that I just got my Kuna last week. On the one hand, I want the tri-lug and have already ordered the adapters. On the other, having a threaded barrel keeps me open for other mounting options should the tri-lug have issues. |

I bought one Saturday, then saw the tri-lug model today right after ordering a tri-lug adapter. As mentioned above, I’m sure the barrels will be available from SA at some point. |
Personally, I'm 0.0% bothered by the new tri-lugs. I think it should have been the first option but good tri-lugs are inexpensive and available for the 1/2x28 muzzle. I've put so many on by now and have had no problems. Plus if you'd rather have a flash suppressor for that monstrous 9mm blast, they're a lot cheaper in 1/2x28 than the QD tri-lug ones. ![]() Honestly, the biggest offender here is the CZ Scorpion Evo 3. I hate the dumb M18 threads mine came with, the tri-lug adapter for that looks super stupid. I know later ones came 1/2x28 which would have been better. A factory tri-lug would have been primo. |

It hasn't been an issue on mine, nor have I heard of it being one with anyone else, but it's still not as solid as having the tri-lug machined into the barrel. Just something to consdier. |

Did we do that Maglula released a loader for the Kuna? https://www.maglula.com/product/springfield-kuna-lula-loader-unloader/ Got one on the way from Midway. Now if they would just do ones for the Stribog and the B&T 9mm PCCs. |
| Got a chance to shoot my newly acquired Kuna this past labor day weekend. Very impressed. Fun gun to shoot and totally reliable. I shot 124 grain Fiocchi, 115 grain steel cased Magtech, and 147 grain Fiocchi and did not have any stoppages of any kind. Really frustrated that the tri-lug came out right after I got mine but ah well! I am using a Silencerco 3 lug adapter on mine and it works great with my Omega 9K. |

Midwest Industries posted up some pictures of their upcoming Kuna rail in their industry forum. It looks pretty good and should be under $200. Midwest Industries Kuna rail thread |
