| I'm looking real hard at a springfield M1A loaded on the wall at the toy store. I would like to know what parts on these rifles are made in the USA and which parts are not? What companies out there Produce M1A's with all american parts? And will I really notice any difference or is the springfield just as good for a battle rifle? |

If you want, I can e-mail you the 2004 Wayne Machine, Inc. (Taipei, Taiwan) parts catalog. Springfield Armory, Inc. uses some American made parts and some Taiwanese made parts. [email protected] LRB Arms will sell you its US made receiver and an American made parts kit. The gas cylinder will be made by J V Precision (Seymour, CT) and IIRC, the barrel will be from Criterion Barrels. LRB Arms can have Smith Enterprise, Inc. build your rifle after the receiver is picked up you at your home state FFL. Springfield Armory, Inc. makes a great rifle. Their Customer Service Department is top notch IF you need to have an assembly mistake corrected. IMO, the standard model M1A is the first one to get because you'll likely succumb to the Rule of Twos later on. Both LRB Arms and Springfield Armory, Inc. stand behind their products. |
