Anyone out there shooting a Knight- Stoner SR-15 Match?
How does it compare to a Bushmaster-Varminter?
I am on the verge of buying an AR15 type rifle, and havn't been able to determine wether the Stoner is worth the big difference in price.
What would you consider the best one to two hundred yard varmint-target scope for use one this type rifle?

All I know about the SR-15 is that I want one!

I've only seen two - one in a carbine class at Gunsite and one in an Urban Rifle class at Thunder Ranch.  Both had reliability problems.  They are fine guns, but built to tight match tollerances.  If it's not cleaned fairly often (every 100-200 rounds) it will start to malfunction.  I hear the SR25 is even worse!

Yep, that's exactly what I've got.

Can't really answer that since I don't have a Bushmaster Varminter.  I can say that my SR15 Match shot a 0.7 MOA @ 100yds right out of the box.  KAC guarantees better than 1 MOA for all the SR15 Match rifles.

To me it is.  It comes with the RAS, KAC two stage trigger, Krieger barrell, chrome plated bolt carrier, and the finish is far supperior to any other gun I have.  KAC produces high quality products and in my opinion they are worth the extra money.  Plus, there aren't many of the SR15 Match rifles around.  Brian at KAC told me they only made about 35 rifles with the Krieger barrel.  The cheapest I've seen them is $1650 from here:

I've got a Leupold Vari-X III 6.5-20 X 40mm on mine.  Probably not the best, but it works well for me.
