Dammmit Dammmmit Dammmit!!!!!

There, I feel better!

So I'm dealing with 1st stuck case in my reloading die.

Scenario:

.223 stuck in an RCBS FL sizing die.  Shell holder ripped most of the bottom of the case off on the up stroke of my RCBS rock chucker.  I cannot remove the neck sizing pin from the die.  I do not have any stuck case removal tools.  It's Sunday at 9pm.

Should I:

Give up for the night...

Improvise and fuck up my Die...

Continue my previous temper tantrum cuz it ain't going my way...

Wait for the reloading gurus to have a good laugh at my expense (BTDT posts)...

Start Drinking...

And because someone will ask yes I use One Shot spray lube on the case and had run almost 100 case thru with no issue.

This hobby is supposed to fun and relaxing right?

Thanks for any help!

Options, send die back to RCBS for free removal, or if you continue to use One shot, invest in a stuck case remover kit.

Advice, get some Dillon spray lube.

95% of the stuck case threads have One shot involved.

For tonight, get stuck case remover tomorrow.

You don't have to buy a commercial made kit, you can get everything at the local homecenter.  you can use a socket for the pulling collar.

SUCCESS!!!

I picked up the stuck case remover today and was able to remove the case from the die.  It looks like the decapping pin is bent/off center....I guess I'll be picking up a 5 pack of those tomorrow!

OK noobs....This is one of those little tools you need to get when you start reloading....it will save you some serious grief!

BTW  RCBS has a series of tutorials on their homepage.  Using the stuck case remover was one of them.   Very informative.
