I have a lot of the 1 lb H50 BMG powder containers. Last year when I was buying powder, It was all I could get. I do now have a bunch of the 8 lb jugs though. $165 + Hazmat fee is hard to swallow sometimes so when your local Sportsmans Warehouse has the 1 lb jugs for $23.00, you buy them.
When you load 50 cal, or at least when I load, I only load 30 rounds at a time anyway. The only downside to the 1 lb jugs though is, different lot numbers. I did use one of my empty 1 lb US869 containers, drilled a hole in the lid and I stuck the Primer expended tube into it for a primer catch can on my Hornady L-N-L AP press. |
