I'm going to be getting out of match shooting for a while, and am wanting to pick up a scope for my .22lr in lieu of it's current peep sights.

I'll be shooting mostly within 150yrds, I'm looking for something that will be accurate with decent magnification. My budget is ideally $200. Scopes aren't my specialty, so I don't really know what I could get a decent .22lr scope for.

the 10X 50mm Super Sniper scope with a 30mm tube mildot ret and turrents adjustments, runs about $250-275 that is a little over your price but well worth the extra $$
Or you can get the refurbished Simmons from Sportsman Guide or some others place for like $40

Check out the web site of Optics Planet. You can do a search for a scope by price & not have to wade thru $1,000 scopes to find something you like.

If you can find a Nikon in that price range, I urge you to grap it & run. Their optics are superior to anything else in their price range(s).

Following that, I would look at Bushnell, Simmons, Burris & Swift (in that order).

I would avoid the Chinese & Russian made stuff, IMO.

Nikon Prostaff (centerfire version) gets my vote.  Scope + decent rings/base will run you around $200.

The rimfire version's parallax setting is 50 yards.

I use a Bushnell Sportsman with parralax adjustment on my Savage.  I like it pretty well.
