Helmet is MSA TC 2000 ACH/MICH, size XL.  Likely to be used as a platform for NVDs in the future.  Prefer "H" style, but open to other options.  Not planning Airborne ops.  Ease of donning/doffing and adjustment is a factor.  Bonus points if the new chin strap will interface with the common nape soft armor carrier.  Comms likely to be worn under the helmet; I have plenty of different pucks and so forth.  Color options also a plus.

also, is there anyone who manufactures a chin cup that protects the chin, and interfaces with such a helmet strap system?

Ops-Core. Done.

They have both Y and H styles available (I have the H-harness) as well as some other options I'm not very familiar with such as the OCC-Dial system. Also comes in a couple colors, I think tan, foliage green and black. Works well with my Sordins, far better than the issue suspension. I couldn't even get the issue suspension on over the Sordins, I had to do some really convoluted shit to make it work. The helmet (ACH) goes on just fine now, no problems.

As for interfacing with the ballistic nape pad... well... The H style will do it, but it makes the pad sit much higher than the issue suspension does and it ended up interfering with the fit of my Sordins (behind the head model) as the pad would now push on the behind-the-head strap/wires. Basically, it eliminated that channel between the helmet rim and the top of the ballistic nape pad for BTH style earpro/comms to sit in. It will work, but I ended up removing the nape pad as it affected the fit too much. YMMV, and I myself may put the nape pad back on if I can figue out a way to rig it so that it doesn't mess with my Sordins anymore, but we'll see.

And no, I've looked everywhere for any chin cup, ballistic or not, made for the ACH or any ballistic helmet suspension. Haven't found one yet. You may be able to take the cup off a football helmet or whatever and try rigging it to your suspension, but in my opinion its far more trouble than its worth, especially if it won't be ballistic.

Genuine Ops Core H-Chinstrap or the cheaper GI Contract Lighthouse for the Blind knockoffs are just as good, same webbing and hardware just sewn by blind folks.  Probably a $20 price difference.   The contract ones run about $20-30 outside Carson.

Chincup-style:  TBOMK, RBR is the only domestic mfg that produces a chincup style helmet chinstrap:

RBR is acronym.  What is actual name of mfr/vendor?

NVM, Found them and sent an e-mail about obtaining chin straps separately, as well as obtaining the chin cups separately.  Much obliged for the info.

I have seen the Ops-Core H chinstrap, and it seems to meet my needs.  $106 MSRP is a little rich for my blood.  Are there any vendors offering this for less, hopefully considerably less?

The relative ease of adjustment of the Ops-Core H-harness is very appealing, as well as the fact that some here have posted that this rig will interface well with my over-the-head Comms headset.  The very useful point raised about the nape armor not interfacing well with behind-the-head Comms headphones is something to bear in mind.   That is the sort of informed comment I was hoping for.

Since I also have a Pro-Mask, I suppose I'll spring for the adaptor for same.

FWIW, I have any number of H-style GI-issue chinstrap assemblies, but they are all in black, and I would prefer something well-suited to my comms headset, and in something perhaps a bit less, well, black
