Being totally new to the world of suppressors, and have just gone through the initial stages of the process, I AM BEGGING TO ASK THIS QUESTION: I plan on mounting a Gem-Tech Trinity can on my beretta M92. What will it sound like? I know it won't be "like the movies", but what can I expect?....will the neighbors be able to hear it if discharged in the backyard?......Thanks |
| There are better options than the Trinity. Supposedly the can is fairly loud. Perhaps this is mostly with the recoil booster module. A lot of people seem to be happy with the Trinity thread mount on a Beretta however. For my money, I would go with the Advanced Armament Evolution 9 or the SWR Trident. Both of them sound like a pneumatic nail gun to me. |

Thanks for the offer, but I have recently re-located to Oklahoma due to work reasons. Since you have the exact same set-up I'll eventually have, in your opinion, what does it sound like?.......a nail gun is not that loud!!! Your posts are going to make it hard to wait!! |
The Trinity is not a bad can on the M9/92, IMHO. Since you do not need the LID it will be your lightest option and the sound with subsonic ammo is very pleasant. I certainly can shoot mine without plugs all day long. With that said, the Evo 9 and the Trident are wonderful cans and you will not go wrong with either. To my ears, certainly not the end all scientific evidence that many people covet and fight over on this forum, these two cans do substantially better than the Trinity on the Glock and Sig series for several reasons. |
