Obviously the over barrel models allow for a shorter overall length but how do the MB556K and MB556AR compare.  Looking for feedback on the brake and the suppressor.  I'm leaning to the MB556AR to share a 7.62 suppressor with MB762SSAL/RE mount, which I'm told is possible.  Its time to pick a team, I just want to choose wisely.

I don't know if I fully understand what you're asking. I assume it is which SF 5.56 muzzle device for cross-usage with SF 7.62 can?

I like the MB556K adapter of all the SF offerings, so that's what I'd recommend.  For me, the noticeable lighter weight of the SF cans, the solid lock up system, and seeing more of them than others in theater is why I chose SF over other popular offerings.

No experience with 7.62 can or adapters.

Hey scho33 the MB556AR adapter is only compatible with the FA556AR. The MB762SSAL/RE only works with the FA762SS. What you want to do is the FA762K with a MB762-211C and a MB556K. Then you are set to go with one suppressor between the 5.56 and 7.62 rifles. the difference in length added to the weapon is 5.6" vs 5.5"

Thanks Garin, next question.  I plan to mount one of the MB556K on a 14.5 would I be better off using silver solder attempting to pin and weld?  I've also heard there is "mount kit" for timing surefire adaptors what are the items #s for both the 762 and 556 adaptors. The mb762-211c isn't show or listed on surefire.com do you have pics?  Thanks

Hey scho33 I don't have a pic on my computer to attach. I can get one from graphics if you e-mail me. It looks just like the MB762SSAL/RE but in the MB556K length.
All adapters for the most part come with a shim kit to time the adapter so that it is perfectly aligned.
