I am looking into purchasing a suppressor this year I know I want a surefire but I had a question about one of their models specifically the fa556ar

supposedly the suppressor design reduces blowback is this true and if so does anybody know where I can get one for a decent price?

If you are bent on that can, of which I know nothing about, I think I know where one is.  Try Orion Arms of Jeffersonville, In. I was there a couple weeks ago and they had one in their display case. Might get a good price if that model is an old one.

How does that work buying a can out of state? I'm over there every now and then.

Same way it works for everyone else.  You buy it, a F3 is sent in, it gets transfered to your instate dealer, a F4 is sent in, once approved it becomes yours.

If it's on a F4, the process is a little different and longer...but same idea.

The FA556 is an older can.  You're going to run into problems finding mounts for it.  I would buy one but it would have to be at a significant discount for that reason alone.

I'm not buying it, I was just curious about the process.

I'm planning to get a SOCOM.

If you're having trouble finding mounts, I have a few extra laying around.
