I've never used a swager (I've always reamed my brass) but I'm wondering if swaging (say with a dillon super swager) will manipulate my sized brass in anyway. I'm looking at preparing about 3000 rounds of brass and this is how I want to do it:

1. Clean brass
2. Size and trim brass, remove primers (I'm doing this on a Hornady LnL with a Dillon 1200.
3. Reclean brass with lemishine
4. Swage with a dillon super swager
5. Load up some bullets!
6. Give one last quick tumble in some corn cob media.

What I'm worried about is if swaging with after sizing will mess up my brass. I know I can resize at step 5, but I really don't want to.

Move the swaging to step 2 just in case, I havent noticed any deformation due to the Super Swage, but I swage before sizing.

Swage before resizing. w/ the Dillon SS, I notice my case lengths will shift about 0.002~0.004"

The problem is you have to deprime first, which means you have to run it through your press. I was hoping to only have to run my brass through my press twice.

Why would you need to run it through more than twice?

1- Deprime using a universal depriming die

2- Swage

3- Run through press to resize/trim on the 1200, prime, powder charge, bullet seat, crimp, done.

I have a turret press w/ deprime specifically set up for that reason.

Tumble clean
Lube and Size
Tumble to remove lube
Case prep, trim, swage with Super Swager, uniform primer pockets
Load on 550

Those are my steps.
