Text of Ad The Most Amazing Find of My 27 Years in the Machine Gun Business Extremely Rare C&R, Fully Transferable, Sterling L2A2, MKIII. New and Untouched as they left the Factory in 1955 Brand New, original box wrapped in a heavy duty British wax paper. Guns are wrapped in original wax paper, ends sealed and wrapped with cloth and dipped in a cosmoline like substance. Never fired other than at the factory Guns manufactured by Sterling Engineering, Dagenhan, Essex England between April 8, 1955 to July 1955 Imported by Colt Firearms in 1956 and sold to a collector in 1985 Recently Purchased by Us. Have very few consecutive serial numbered guns. Each Kit Includes: Brand New Sealed Sterling L2A2, MK III, 9mm, C&R Submachine Gun in MINT Condition Rare brand new bayonet generously packed in a cosmoline like substance and wrapped in wax paper. Just saw that. Amazing! I will buy a transferable Sterling soon, and I would love to buy one of those, but can't see spending $23k on a Sterling, nor could I afford it. Although I understand why people like NIB and especially NIB C&Rs, I just can't pay the extra money for NIB or C&R, since I buy machine guns to shoot, and to shoot often, and that would be silly with something like that. Amazing find, and I'm jealous of the future owners.....even though they will probably never fire these

Although, that could be pretty cool getting to do that. And what's the point of owning a machine gun unless you are going to do that? Unless you are really rich, and can just pay $22k for a box that you will open and look at occasionally.....which I am not. Showed my dad that ad today. He was amazed. Said he wished he knew what all of these things would be worth in the mid 1960s when he was in his twenties. Oh well. |

Life is too short to be stingy with yourself. Making things "work out perfect" is why most people hate their life. I have shot to hell and back 3 NIB machine guns. The only reason I bought them was since it was average price. Before it really made a difference. m11,m10,and a west hurley.
I see no point in having guns I wont shoot. that being said while kinda neat that is silly to pay that premium. UNLESS you collect NIB guns. Then it is well kinda worth it . |
