Swift 75 Grain Scirocco II
The Swift 75 grain Scirocco II is a heavy .22 caliber (0.224”) polymer-tipped, bonded bullet with a ballistic coefficient of 0.419. What else could you ask for in a “blind to barriers” projectile? Oh, and did I mention that it’s accurate too? The 10-shot group pictured below was fired off the bench from one of my Krieger barreled AR-15s (1:7.7” twist) at a distance of 100 yards. The group has an extreme spread of 0.87”. (The rounds were loaded to magazine length and fired from the magazine.) 
The 75 grain Scirocco II is the longest .22 caliber bullet in production that I’m aware of that can be properly loaded to magazine length in standard 5.56mm/223 Remington AR-15 magazines.

Nice report as usual.
I doubt the BC is as claimed though. The boat tail is way too short. Litz did an analysis on the 6.5mm 130gr Swift Scirocco, and it is way less than advertised due to the short and inefficient boat tail. I'm guessing it's more in the high .3's for G1 model. If they lengthened the boat tail, it could get to the advertised BC I think. |

I do not believe so, looking at some gel shots the neck starts very quickly and seems to fragment quite a bit. Also seems to have a piece about half of the original weight penetrate deeper then the rest of the fragments. |

I am surprised that nobody like Blackhills or even smaller companies like Underwood doesn't load up these Swifts and market them to the tactical crowd. Is there any gel data of these to be found on the Internet? Blue Falcoln shot these yet into gel? |
