I have been thinking about selling my TC Contender pistol chambered in .41 Remington Magnum to buy some new EBR stuff. Can aynone give me an idea what a good trade in value on this woiuld be, everything is in great condition. ETA: This is the original model, not the G2, w/ serial number 19XXX |

Around here the blue frames usually go for $175, is the barrel a Super 14 or a 10", how old is the barrel? If the barrel is a Super 14 the old ones had dovetailed front sight blades, newer ones have roll pins to hold the blade. Is the rear sight recessed on the sides or is it flat? Just a guess but frame, barrel, depending on what forend, grip your using, I would say its worth maybe $375 to $400, going by prices I've seen and what I have paid for my own Contenders. Trade in value to a dealer would most likely be quite a bit less than what you could get for it selling it yourself. |
