| My bro has a Triumph, its is a good shooter and he has killed deer with it but it leaks soot around the 209 pimer when fired that has put a crud ring in and around the firing pin. Its has been sent back to TC and came back with the same problem. Most likely just a lemon but still. My dads Triumph is g2g with none of the problems my brothers gun has. |

I bought a Triumph about 2 months ago. I tried all new ammo and powder. The first range trip I used the new White Hots powder with Hornady's new FPB muzzle loader bullets. The Hornady bullet couldn't hold an 8'' group at 50 yards. I was shocked at just how bad the performance of the Hornady bullet was. In theory it should've worked perfectly, but in reality it failed in a major way. I swapped over to the CVA aero tip powerboat bullet and it's dead nuts accurate out to 200 yards. I would wager to say with the white hot powder and the powerboat bullet it's as accurate as most centerfire hunting rifles. The Triumph has very few parts, it's light, and it's accurate as hell. TC makes some of the best black powder rifles on the market. The Triumph is no exception. |
