Does anyone have any experience with the new TC Venture rifles? I've always been shy about purchasing "value priced" firearms, but these rifles intrigue me.

Are the actions smooth?

Do they live up to the MOA claim?

From what I've read there was a recall on these rifles some time ago; what did the recall address and how can I tell if I am looking at a post recall rifle?

I bought the TC Venture compact in .243 for my 10 YO son. It came from the distributor with the safety lever issue already inspected. There is a red star on the box and a dimple on the safety lever (I think) if it's been inspected.

I'd say it shoots very well but I'm not a MOA shooter.

The initial bolt lift is a little stiff but the rest is smooth. I prefer the stiffness so the bolt doesn't come unlocked easily if it catches on clothing or branches while walking with the rifle. I see a lot of them on the shelves here in FL and you likely could find one somewhere near you too. The trigger is good for a factory hunting rifle & it has a lifetime warranty from TC.

I'm very satisfied with the purchase.

Bought one last month.  Found some rust inside the barrel and sent it back to TC.

They fixed it and sent it back.

Got out to the range tomorrow and had some fun with it.  Haven't tried for accuracy yet but will in a few weeks.

Everyone who got to shoot it said that they thought the trigger was one of the best factory triggers they had felt and the bolt throw was smooth and short.

Only the lack of aftermarket support for a new stock is the only downfall even though the stock is better than most factory stocks
