Hi,

I have a Raptor 6X that came as part of a trade and I'd like to start target shooting with it.  It's currently mounted on a Savage 308.

Does anyone have ideas on what types of targets they're using at night that show up well?  I have steel plates that I use but haven't been able to get these to show up well through the raptor.  Is the trick to have a good color contrast with the background?  They're currently painted bright orange.  They stand out well during the day but just show as very dark at night.

What are people using?

Thanks for the help,

Matt

Get some IR chem lights. When you hit them, you will get a nice reactive target.

Great idea!  You reminded me that I have a few that followed me home from Somalia.  I'll have to try to find them.

I wonder if they have a shelf life on them?  I've never used one before and these are a little old...

Any other target suggestions?

Thanks,

Matt

Chem lights only last a few years. I'd try one out at home to make sure it still works.
