Is there a way to temporarily camo a rifle? ...like a removable tape or something?

I just got some camo cloth tape for guns and bows.  I haven't tried it yet, but it's not suposed to mess up the weapon.
It cost $4.99 from a local gun shop.  Cabelas should have some.
The website on the back of the box is...

Is bowflage easy to remove, completely?  Or does it get stuck in all the little cracks and crevices.

If you apply a thin coat you'll have no problems, only when you cake it on (made that mistake once) will it be a problem.  It will of course get into cracks n stuff, but the removable spray works fantastic and a q-tip will take care of the tight areas.

If you buy a BowFlage kit, make sure you get an extra can of remover just in case.

I've painted, removed, repainted, removed, and repainted my AR.

I find a nice pleasant woodland camo theme is best.  Think big irregular patterns, get too detailed and it'll come out a chaotic mess.

Biggest thing to remember is that in mother nature, nothing is parkerized.

Take old BDU shirt or pants, cut long strips about 4" wide by however long.  along one edge cut about half way from one edge to the other, so that it has a fringe of strips of cloth about  1" wide by about 2"-3" long.  Secure one end on your rifle with a nylon ty-wrap.  Spiral wrap along the rifle or scope, and secure the other end with a ty-wrap.  The fringe will hang off, ghillie-suite style.
