I love Beretta long guns.  I'm not Italian, but I have been to Italy.  Italian women, Italian wines, and Italian shotguns call to me like Sirens.  Here are my favorite Beretta guns from my collection.

The top gun is a 626 EL 20 gauge SxS with fixed IC / MOD barrels.  It fits me like my own skin and is deadly on game.  When it goes bang, something dies.  It was brought into this country in the mid-80s, before the formation of Beretta USA.  I have never seen another like it.  The EL model is not listed in any literature.  While researching it after I bought it in 1994, I called The Beretta Gallery in NYC since I could find *no info*.  The response was "You have what???"  They really wanted to get their hands on this gun.  Sorry...not for sale.

The rifle is a Beretta Mato Synthetic chambered in .270 Win.  The Mauser style controlled feed action is made by Dakota and it has a 24" inch barrel.  It has a sublime detachable box magazine that fits flush, and the whole deal is nestled in a factory H-S Precision full length aluminum bedded Kevlar stock.  This model was discontinued as Beretta USA took a loss on each rifle sold.  They finally figured out that they could enter the hunting rifle market and be profitable through the acquisition of Sako and Tikka.  This particular rifle shoots very, very well.

The bottom shotgun is a DT-10 Trident Sporting 12 gauge with 30 inch barrels.  There is nothing particularly remarkable about this shotgun except that it makes my potty tingle.

Post up pics of your favorite Beretta guns here.

I'd like a Beretta Over/Under myself in time. It's about the only shotgun I do want, having sold of my last.
Here's the only Beretta long gun I've got right now, but it is one I wouldn't get rid off.

Should the occasion ever come to pass where you must find a loving new home for your baby, do keep me in mind.

I own several Berettas, handguns and longuns, and I too am a big fan of the both the company and its products.

My single favorite Beretta, the one with which I will never part...

... and some of you already know why...

Note the serial # prefix is "GO."  That is only used for General Officer's M9s issued by DoD to flag officers.  Upon retirement, flag officers are given the option of purchasing/keeping their issued sidearm.  These, as you can imagine, are few and far between... and this is one of the very early ones issued after the transition to the M9.

My Dad retired as a Major General from the USAR (prior to his retirement, he commanded all the Army Reserve units in the southeastern US, the largest reserve command at the time {probably still is}).  He isn't really a "gun guy" and wasn't even going to exercise the purchase option until I begged and pleaded that he do so.  He did and, a few years later, gave the gun (along with the box, mags, DoD papers, dress leather holster and mag-pouch, etc.) to me to keep and pass on down to my son (his first and, to date, only grandson) eventually.

Guns come and go from my collection, but this one ain't going anywhere.

I've owned several Beretta pistols.  Models 92FS, 21 and 3032.  Been issued numberous M9s in the service and did manage to find the a Beretta AR70 and Beretta M12S downrange last year (both select fire and fully functional as I found on the range)
