| I have a "pre-94" Argentine FN that was imported by Armscorp (L.S.R.). It is near spotless condition and is my favorite rifle by far. The rifle even came with a zero target that was signed by the armorer in Argentina. Even though I have loved this rifle for many years I wished that it were a paratrooper model FN instead. After doing a bit or research the modifications were too many and simply too expensive to justify the addition of the folding stock. However, today I found not one but two DSA FN paratrooper models ($1999 ea.) and the thought occurred to me to sell or trade for the paratrooper model. Relatively speaking what is the value of my safe queen? |

Just my 2 cents here but as far as Para's are concerned
I much prefer a FAL like yours in the standard fixed stock configuration. I converted a very very nice all Imbel FAL to the Para configuration and was never really happy with it. Had problems with the DSA Para recoil springs. The Para is harder to strip and clean under field conditions. The little guide tube that connects the inner recoil springs is fragile. I have read that folks issued paras felt like they were slightly less reliable than the standard FAL. In my opinion, it sounds like you have a really nice FAL that will be nearly impossible to replace. I say you better keep your Argie FAL. |

I wouldn't sell yours for one. I'd save up and buy one or build one from parts. I used the DSA kit for my PARA conversion and I've had absolutely no issues with it. In fact, it seems to me that the felt recoil is less b/c it's all up front than in the stock. Weird, perhaps it's just me. |

All the DSA para parts are good to go except my springs went soft after only about 200 rounds. Had to get some from SARCO then it was GTG again... |
