This one to be exact: www.dsarms.com/prodinfo.asp?number=SA58TACP

I've got quite a bit of SA .308... I've heard that the SA ammo doesn't do well in fluted barrels. Is this true?

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

By Fluted bbl the issues are with the HK type where the flutes / ridges are on the INSIDE of the bbl at the chamber.

The H&K uses the flutes to float the chamber on the gas to ease extraction.

Some of the SA ammo had a tar like sealant which would build up in the interior chamber flutes and cause malfunctions.  Your FAL bbl is only fluted on the exterior so no issues like the H&K would affect you.

Using SA on your FAL would have zero issues if your bbl is fluted or smooth on the exterior.
