For those that run thread on cans like Trek, do you remove them when you clean your barrel?
I imagine you wouldn't want all that running into the can during cleaning.

My solution thus far has been to not clean my barrel, but I'm curious to know. It seems like there's probably a good way to clean the barrel with the can mounted.

Same. And run Otis cable down the barrel.

I thread mine off and clean the barrel from the chamber with an Otis kit.   Before threading the can back on, I pay special attention to the threads on both the host and suppressor.

It's a good idea the remove the can so I potential foreign object does' accidentally end up in your can and cause damage. What's it take another 20sec to thread it on/off?

As long as there isn't a ton of oil in the can when you shoot it it should be fine. If it's not perm attached, just take it off. I've run patches through my trek with no issues before.

Thinking about that, I guess I haven't taken my TREK off in over 5,000 rounds. I just run a bore snake down from the chamber all the way out through the can. Never had any issues. The TREK is a beast, and anything from the barrel will just get burned out. Im doing it right now actually haha. Eventually I probably will remove it and clean it i guess. But it should out last my barrel.
I have a lot of cans, but the TREK and TREK-T are definitely my favorites. The QD cans just aren't used any more.
