I have a .22 suppressor on order and would like the ability to put it on my 10/22. Can anyone recommend a bull barrel that is threaded with end cap? I know that I will have to get a new stock to accommodate the bull barrel. Don't want to have a problem with the threads not being concentric.

| I have the E.R. Shaw from here for $106 with free shipping and I have been very happy with it. No issues with concentricity and shoots great! I also put it in one of the Hogue OM stocks to make it a trainer for my SPS Tactical. |

I just put a PWS T3 Tensioned Carbon Fiber barrel on one of my 10-22's and I love it. It's very accurate and so far, not very picky at all. I've had no problems with various bulk ammo brands and it LOVES Federal AutoMatch. I have a standard muzzle break on mine since I live in occupied territory, but if I ever escape, I'd love to put a suppressor on it. Just google "PWS T3" and you'll find all the info on it.
It looks great and weighs next to nothing for a 16" .920 barrel and it came with the matching thread protector. |

Tactical Solution's barrel are nice and lightweight. Little spendy but I have been happy with mine. what kind of accuracy do you get from your Tac Sol? how long have you had it and what's the round count? they look cool and are light weight, but i've heard multiple reports of only mediocre accuracy and the breechface is aluminum, which will potentially reduce the service life. a TacSol is the same price as a Kidd, which has an outstanding reputation for accuracy. there are several 'smithhs who will thread the OEM barrel and move the front sight back, and they should even be able to shorten it to 16" for you when they do that. Hi Desert Dog offers a sporter contour Green Mountain barrel and will custom thread it for use with a can. so there are options if you don't want a bull barrel. |

I get around 1.5"-2" at 50 yards with match grade ammo. It is not a tack driver but I just love how light it is for when I am out killing fuzzy critters. . that seems consistent with the groups i've seen form other TacSol barrels. however, there's a lot of barrels that will provide much better groups, even from some of the less expensive aftermarket barrels. but they ain't as light... so, it seems to be a tradeoff. i just don't think i'd be happy with that performance. for small fuzzy critters i'd be looking for under 1" @ 75 yards... from improvised, field rest positions, not from a bench. i kinda like some weight because it makes it easier to hold more stable and not wander around, but too heavy can be hard to hold on target for a long time or carry around all day. i've got two bolt guns, one with a .75" x 26": barrel and one with a .92" x 16" barrel. both have done well hunting and the first one doesn't have a two pouunt sling that i can carry it with, just a single point target sling that attaches to the rail under the foreend. (not all single point slings are tactical, or at the back of the action) |

(not all single point slings are tactical, or at the back of the action) My PWS T3 is pretty darn light and the first time shooting after getting the gun thrown together (no bedding, stock V block, no bag or rest, just prone with Bipod) I was easily grouping inside .75 of an inch and by the time I got a few rounds through it I was within .5" at 50 yards using Federal AutoMatch. I have to believe that if it's heavier than the TacSol it's probably only by a few ouncs. Thats the beauty of a tensioned barrel. You can get heavy barrel accuaracy and consistency with a light weigh package. |
