| I was planning to modify my M38 mosin nagant into a scout rifle and i need recomendations on a mount and perhaps a scope for the gun, and iff there is any way to modify the original stock into more of a hunting rifle stock, because ounce i saw on surplusrifle.com i new i had to have one |

What would you modify? It's pretty sparse now. I've got a Darrell's Scout mount and a 2x20 NcStar on mine. I've pretty much just shot the training ammo though it so far. Not much recoil with that stuff. Dennis Jenkins

rather than modify your srock just get the Advanced Technology black synthetic stock. that way you can return it to original if you want to later, and it comes with a recoil pad already installed. it was the best $60 present that i ever gave my brother-in-law. advntrjnky |
