My wife wants me to give her a Christmas list. I want to build an AR pistol. It will be my 1st build and 2nd AR. I thought about asking her for tools to complete the job. What is the best value I could steer her towards?
I found this tool set this vise set Those ok? What else? |

The vice set looks ok. I use a DPMS upper action block and have no problems on the seven or I built.
Upper block As far as the tool set you listed, I don't think that one is needed, but it does have most everything you would need for an AR. I'd just get a set of roll pin punches, small ball peen hammer, and an AR tool. (Ill think of any other tools and edit accordingly) Check the build it yourself forum, lots of tool lists on there. |

Second post down, is a list of tools for the lower. The upper requires a barrel wrench, and screwdriver or tore bit for a low profile gas block. Armorers tool has the barrel wrench and a flash hider wrench
