Looking to pick up a good torque wrench for general gunsmithing work.  Any suggestions?

There is a Snap-on on Craigslist for $60 here locally. That would be the best thing money could buy. I do not believe that building a gun is quite as precicse as building a race engine, so I would look into the wrenches from Harbor Freight. I think I paid around $15 for mine.

$15 is a good price for it.
I just check out at midwayusa and they have one that is $50, but at the end of the day the $50 and $15 made by the same people.  China

I had a Snapon, it grew legs and ran away, bought a 1/2 inch drive from Harbor Freight for $9.99 and $6.00 to ship works perfectly for gun work, and it even has a lifetime warranty..   BTW, the price was with a coupon, but its really easy to google HF coupon codes..

Park Tools makes a beam type wrench for 0 to 60 inch pounds that sells for about $38.  Model number is either TW-1 or TW-2.

Be sure of what you buy...inch lbs...vs. oz. inches...vs ft. lbs.

Ebay has great deals on Seekonk T-handle wrenches, and adjustable torque screwdrivers. I have several, and they are all indispensible in the shop.
