The father of my cousins friend has just recently passed away. While they were going through his things they found his paperwork from when he got out of the service. They found a receipt from when he turned in the carbine he was issued- with the Ser#. What would be the best way of trying to track this down for him. Also I forgot to ask if it was an M1 or M2. If it was an M2 then you would not be able to purchase it- correct?
Thanks, CaRbZ |

If it is an M2 in the NFA registry you would be able to purchase it. Assuming it is on the market.
I'm not an expert but you could probably do some sort of information request with the CMP to see if they either have or have sold it if it were an M1. Other than that I think about the only thing you could do would be to start knocking on doors to see if someone had it. I would imagine it'd be quite hard to find. |

Put that serial number in the Sig line of your user ID on every gun board you post on, WTB ads on gunboard classifieds etc..., the internet has made the world a much smaller place with regards to finding such a thing. Chances of ever finding it if it is still even in existance are very, very slim. Better odds playing the lottery |
