My Grandfather is a retired heavy equip. manager. Today, we to the dealer to shit the breeze. When we went out in the shop their was juntk still laying around from Christmas time. We got to talking on what was being thrown out. Anyways, I brought home to weights. Some big bastards.24" high, 98lbs, 1.25" thick. Anyone ever practice on them before? The wont crack or break will they? I dont plan on using anything larger than 30-06. What do you think. Should be a big plinker.

Only one way to find out...

I think it'll be alright. We were shooting at some 18"x18" plates that were 3/4" thick at 300 yards and the only thing that penatrated it was some 30.06 black tips loaded to the max.

I live on a farm and I have to say that you will have a pretty hard time shooting through those weights. Thier tuff as hell and really heavy.
