Ok, so I finally found a can instock with Major Malfunction. Local dealer sent off info for dealer to dealer transfer.
Question - while waiting for the D2D tranfers to take place, the serial number of said can is known, can I get my paperwork started with the CLEO and then sent to ATF? Or do I have to wait for my dealer to get it? Any way to cut time is a good thing so long as it's legal and allowed. TIA |

I would talk to your dealer. What I have done is get everything filled out and got the CLEO signature and cards ready and then held onto it and mailed it when he said he received the item. Not long ago here somebody had there F4 get to the examiners before the F3 was approved and it wrenched up the works a bit since it is hard to approve a trasnfer from a dealer who, according to the registery, doesn't posesses the item to transfer....
