Let me see if I can explain this.  I have replaced all of the internals in my rifle.  I can pull the trigger and the hammer will release and with the trigger still pulled I will reset the hammer.  Now when I ease the trigger forward the hammer doesn't disengage back to the primary.  It takes just a tiny amount of pressure to the rear of the trigger to get it to release.  Is this due to the brand new parts that haven't been fired yet and something that will work itself out after firing some rounds through it or do I need to do some filing?

Filing won't help you here - unless you filed on the disconnector hook, which I don't recommend.  Try working the action vigorously a bunch of times to see if it wears in, otherwise, you'll need to try a different disconnector, or different hammer or both.
