| Hello, I'm looking at the Truspec's Tactical Response Uniform shirts and they come in 50/50 nylon/cotton and 65/35 polyester/cotton, and I cant seem to find a good explanation of the differences between the fabrics. I was hoping to find out what the positives and negatives of each. Could anyone help me out. I've seen the fabric guide on BDU.com but it doesn't really give much info. Many thanks. |

IIRC, the 50/50 is the summer weight BDU fabric and the other is the "jungle weight" BDU.
If you are familiar with BDUs the 50/50 were the issued summers and the other one was the supper light weight ones that faded quickly and made it able to see the checkerboard type pattern. Most prefer the 50/50 Can anyone confirm my statement |
| The 65/35 is ripstop, really lightweight, has that swish sound when you walk like a muted tracksuit. The 50/50 is heavier, doesn't have the checkerboard on it. I own 24/7 shorts in the 50/50, and pants in the ripstop. Both are great, think I prefer the ripstop but I am a warm-natured individual |
