I was a gun shop looking at a Ruger piston AR15 and the owner told me that there are specialized units who have been evaluating the piston ruger and have been doing so for over a year or more. The rivers have experienced no problems at all.
I'm thinking Myth and salesmanship. Does anyone know if the military is evaluating the ruger Sr556? |

Myth? No, myth here. Just a heaping, healthy serving of .
Salesmanship? I guess it was an attempt, but the hobo selling candy bars out side of the local walmart for a 300% markup over the exact same bars that I walked past in the checkout, has a more convincing sales program going on. The next time you're in there, you should ask what branch of SOCOM it was that is "evaluating" the Ruger 556, and how it is that he came to be privy to such information. I'm guessing you'll get alot of blubbering, some "uhh"s and "ummm"s, maybe an "I heard", "I was told" and an "I don't know". You'll be glad to know that such rock-solid information and transparent honesty is used in the gentleman's sale-tactics. |

I'm sure the SEALS are regularly updating the owner of the gunshop on what weapons they are evaluating and he wasn't just making shit up to sell a rifle.
I love this answer, I think I'm going to use it. OP, WTF does "specialized units" mean? ![]() Dudes burning out the shitters... The Ruger is a good carbine, but no... .mil ain't using it. |
