I have built a couple of suppressors in the past. Nothing complex or fancy, the Mag Light conversions; yes, I did fill out the form 1 and pay the tax. With the $0 tax coming soon I would like to build more "complex" suppressors. Yes, I have access to a machine shop; but I am mostly a newbie in one. I have found some info about tube sizes but not thickness. If you all would be so kind as to point me in the correct direction or post here that would be great. Thank You |

There isn't one answer for your query. Material, caliber, velocity, pressure, rate of fire, they all come into play. There's a thread, not too far down, that asks a similar question. As far as tube suppliers, you're just going to have to do some searching. Not all sell the baffles...errr, cups... so sizing isn't necessarily going to be what you're looking for, and not all cup suppliers sell tube. It'd be a lot easier if you provided at least some information regarding what you wanted to build. |
