| Reloading for a Glock that has had a little trigger work. It fires CCI primers fine maybe 1 out of 500 is a light strike. Question is before I order 5k of Tula will they work or is the cup hard? |

Tula is hard for my Glock, training only, no match ammo
Wolf, with copper cups, ok Wolf with brass cup, kinda like Tula oh, this is with small rifle primers. and mods, like 3.5 disconnectors, light striker springs, lightened striker with "extd tip" light plunger, etc. currently I just use all stock with polish job. and consolidate components and stock up small rifle primers, wolf copper and winchester to be exact. I do make sure I seat firmly every time tho. |

I've used Tula primers in my AR15's with no issues.
However, the small pistol primers have been an issue in my M&P 9MM and .357 SIG. I tried buying Glock striker springs and putting them in the M&P 9MM and still had the same issue. When you do the "pencil" test in the M&Ps and in the one Glock I own (M31) the striker will not even push the pencil up/out of the barrel. The XDMs will spit the pencil up/out of the barrel and about half way to the ceiling - and I've had no issues at all with the Tula primers in my XDM 9MM. During the trouble shooting of the "light strikes" in my M&Ps I disassembled some unfired Tula small pistol primers and measured the metal thickness of the cups. They were 0.003" to 0.004" thicker than Federal primers. Doesn't sound like much till you realized the Federals were running around 0.015" while the Tula's were 0.018 to 0.019" thick. Almost 25" thicker. Good luck with your efforts. |
