[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Turkish Mauser Extractor

When ever i push the bolt forward on my Turkish mauser the fresh round coming out of the magazine pushes up on the extractor instead of sliding underneath of it and causes the top of the extractor to catch the outside edge of the chamber which keeps me from chambering the round completely unless i first push down on the extractor. Any idea how to fix this?

Try to pry the hook open with a large screwdriver between the hook and bolt face. If that doesn't do the trick you will need to dremel or stone the extractor hook a bit to remove a burr or worse.

I had a M95 Turk w/ the same issue. I used one of my wifes emory boards (files finger nails) and fixed the problem in 2 minutes, a burr
