Is it legal to swap out a stock stock and grip for the folder wothout doing the whole UMP / tax stamp deal?

yes, but you need compliance parts to bring the imported part count to 10 or less. usually a floor plate, follower and trigger. barrel must remain 16" or longer also floor plate and follower of mag? would that mean that I would need to keep the mag in the gun at all times so as not to mess with the count? Where would I find somewhere that will list american parts I can thrown in it to keep it compliant and possibly see that law that specifically states the # of parts and so on (so I can keep it with me to show I am knowledgable and what not)? Thanks for any help.
