Thought I'd start a thread so we can share our unusual transfers. I had one recently that got me thinking.
Did a transfer on a husband and wife here in Oklahoma Wife was a civilian, military dependent, resident of Idaho with an Idaho Drivers license and PCS orders Husband was active-duty with a Texas drivers license and PCS orders Transfered to the husband a rifle, shotgun AND pistol Transfered to the wife a rifle. Scratched head for 20 minutes, cried once and kicked the dog before assuming I was good-to-go. NICS examiner was helpful and asked all the appropriate questions since there was a total of 3 states involved in this one transfer. Please share your unusual transfers |

Also in OK ..
Canadian Citizen with a Texas Drivers license. Full time college student in Oklahoma. Took quite a long tome to come up with all that was needed to complete the transfer (and at least one call to my local branch to make for sure I was good to go. Never again |

Recently got a 'Deny' on a guy with a brand new WV CHL. Turns out he had an arrest with charges filed in the state of MD from 30+ years ago. While the charges were later dropped, MD reported only the arrest and filed charges to the FBI, not the fact that the charges were dropped. He had to hire an attorney to get it cleared up.

I've got a regular customer who's home is only a couple of miles from mine(I know he's a resident)....Military ID, FL drivers license and permanant duty station with the 138th Tactical Fighter Wing in OK. |

Picked up a shotgun at a pawn shop. I have a MO license and am stationed in KS. I put my local address on the form and the sale went on as usual. The next morning I woke up to the salesman banging on my door. He was nearly shot with the shotgun I bought from him the day before ![]() He needed me to add the address from my license to the form. Rather unusual. |
